CEDAR PARK, Texas – Tuesday night, the visiting Grand Rapids Griffins defeated the Texas Stars 4-2.

Arttu Hyry put the Stars on the board first when he deflected a shot from Kyle Capobianco past former Stars goaltender Jack CampbellGabriel Segar tied the game 1-1 two minutes later when he jammed a loose puck in the crease past Magnus Hellberg.

In the second period, William Wallinder gave the Griffins the lead with a slap shot from the left wing circle. Justin Hryckowian tied the game 2-2 with just 20 seconds remaining in the period, when he skated the puck to the top of the crease and put a backhand shot five hole on Campbell.

Less than two minutes into the third period Sheldon Dries would score the eventual game-winning goal against his former team, when he batted a puck out of mid-air and over the blocker of Hellberg. Austin Watson secured the victory for the Griffins with an empty net goal at 18:18 in the third.

Jack Campbell recorded his first win as a Griffin with 20 saves.
