DULUTH, Ga.– Once again, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits made the short trek down I-85 this past weekend to face the Atlanta Gladiators at Gas South Arena. The two teams faced off on Saturday for Thrashers Night, which ended with the “Thrashers” being shut out 4-0, and then on Sunday afternoon for Faith and Family Night. Unlike the night before, Atlanta was able to make a comeback after being down 1-0 after the first, with goals from Ryan Cranford and Griffin Luce, and managed to keep the lead up until the last five minutes of regulation. Unfortunately for the Glads, Tanner Eberle got a shot past Josh Boyko to tie the game back up and send it into overtime, where J.D. Greenway took the win for Greenville less than two minutes in. Ultimately, despite their efforts, the Atlanta Gladiators were unable to come away with a win and fell to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits by a score of 3-2.
