JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Friday night, the Jacksonville Icemen faced the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in the first of two back-to-back games in Jacksonville. The Icemen headed into the game three points behind the Swamp Rabbits, who sit in first place in the division. In a close game that saw a hat trick by both teams and a combined 81 shots on goal, Greenville came away with a 5-4 victory over the Icemen. Carter Souch scored the first three goals for Greenville for his hat trick, along with goals from Bobby Russell and the game-winning goal by Tanner Eberle. Jacksonville’s hat trick came from Matheson Iacopelli which included a penalty shot goal, along with a goal by Garret Van Wyhe. The two teams face each other for the last time in the regular season Saturday night.
