BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The battle of Connecticut took place in Bridgeport as the Bridgeport Islanders welcomed the Hartford Wolf Pack Saturday night. The first period ended 0-0 with Bridgeport having the majority of the shots, and it wasn’t until five minutes passed in the second period when Bridgeport’s Pinho scored. Hartford followed with two goals in the third period with Bridgeport tying the game with eight minutes remaining to force an overtime. A scoreless three-on-three overtime led to a shootout where Bridgeport’s Iskhakov sealed the win with a goal against Hartford’s Garand. Bridgeport is currently last in the Division and Conference, while Hartford is 4th in the Division and 6th in the Conference with plans to compete in the playoffs.
