BRIDGEPORT, Conn – The Bridgeport Islanders welcomed the Hershey Bears to Connecticut for their third game of the season on Wednesday. The Islanders started the season with two losses while the Bears were even at one win and one loss. Despite Bridgeport out-shooting Hershey 31 to 25 shots, the Bears had two quick goals in a minute in the third period to win the game 3 to 2.
The next game for both teams is this Saturday evening (October 19th) as the Islanders play the Hartford Wolf Pack and the Bears play the Chicago Wolves. The season is young, and the Islanders hope to improve upon last season (25-38-9), and the Bears hope to repeat their Calder Cup victory.
