KNOXVILLE, Tenn – The Knoxville Ice Bears hit the ice Saturday night looking to keep their winning streak alive against the Huntsville Havoc during Wrestling Night. With WWE legend Kane in the crowd, it felt like a heavyweight title match was about to go down in Knoxville.

The first period played out like a classic opening bout, with both teams exchanging shots and landing punches, finishing the frame tied 1-1. Knoxville came out swinging to start the second period, as Dawson McKinney scored just 45 seconds in—his second goal of the night—to put the Ice Bears ahead. The momentum didn’t last long, though. Huntsville landed a quick counterpunch three minutes later to even things up, and from that point on, they were in full control. The Havoc unloaded with five unanswered goals, turning the game into a lopsided beatdown.

The real main event came halfway through the second period, though, when Knoxville’s Lucas Helland leveled Huntsville’s Mason Palmer with a big hit into the boards. That hit sparked a massive line brawl that included everyone on the ice—goalies, too. Gloves, sticks, and tempers flew in a wild melee that left officials sorting through 11 game misconducts and a jaw-dropping 183 penalty minutes by the end of the night.

When the final horn sounded, the Ice Bears were left flat on the mat, falling 7-2 to a relentless Huntsville squad. Despite the tough loss, the crowd got their money’s worth with a night full of hard hits, high drama, and plenty of action worthy of Wrestling Night.
