MACON, Ga – The Macon Mayhem and the Huntsville Havoc faced off Friday night at the Macon Coliseum. The Huntsville Havoc took a 5-1 victory.

The first period started fast and furious with Dylan Stewart scoring for Huntsville just two minutes into the game. The rest of the period saw a strong back and forth effort with neither team being able to find the net. 14 minutes into the period Dylan Stewart was sent to the box for hooking but Macon was not able to capitalize on the power play and the period ended with Huntsville up 1-0.

Going into the second period things turned sour for Macon quickly as team captain Jarret Kup was penalized for hooking, the ensuing Huntsville power play allowed Matt Allen to score putting the Havoc up 2-0. Just four minutes later, Zack Conner was able to score his second goal of the season and widen the lead to 3-0. Later in the period, John Kalijan was penalized for the delay of the game, but once again, the Mayhem was unable to take advantage of the power play, and the period ended 3-0 in favor of Huntsville.

The third period saw more back and forth between the teams without any goals scored, until Macon pulled Josh Boyko from the net and Buster Larsson was able to score an empty net goal from across the ice bringing the Huntsville lead to 4. Boyko was put back in the net and Zach Nazzarett was able to score finally putting Macon on the board. With just 10 seconds left in the game Boyko was once again pulled from the net and Robbie Fisher was able to score from the face-off circle bringing the final score to 5-1 in favor of Huntsville.
