HENDERSON, Nev – The Henderson Silver Knights set a franchise record in goals scored Friday night, taking down the Iowa Wild 8-1. Sheldon Rempal and Jett Jones enjoyed milestone nights, with Rempal scoring his 100th AHL goal and Jones scoring his 1st.

The Silver Knights had 4 goals in the first 12 minutes of the game, including a tally 19 seconds into the first period.

Iowa found the back of the net early in the second period unassisted off the stick of Michael Milne.

The Silver Knights scored 4 unanswered after Iowa’s goal, with Jones and Matthew Wedman each scoring their first of the year. Brendan Brisson and Gage Quinney capped the night with back to back power play goals under a minute apart late in the third.

The Silver Knights improve to 20-19-2-4 (46 points) on the year, as the Iowa Wild maintain the basement floor of the Central Division at 14-25-1-2 (31 points). The Knights look for another 2 points in the win column Saturday night, as the point race in the Pacific is tight, with 3rd through 8th within six standing points of each other.
