ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades secured a much-needed win against the Jacksonville Icemen on Saturday night. Heading into the game down three games to one and fresh off a 5-0 shutout loss the night before, the Everblades needed to find a way to beat Icemen goaltender Matt Vernon while providing improved defensive support to Cam Johnson. Bobo Carpenter, Logan Lambdin, and Mark Senden scored their first goal of the playoffs, an important achievement as they were key components of the Everblades’ offense in the regular season. The series heads back to Jacksonville for game six on Tuesday and, if necessary, game seven on Wednesday.
