TOLEDO, Ohio – Saturday night, the Toledo Walleye went up against the Kansas City Mavericks for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Mavericks took a 5-2 victory. Jeremy McKenna led the way for the Mavericks with one goal and three assists along with earning the first star of the game. Mavericks goaltender, Jack LaFontaine saved 39 of 40 Walleye shots. Brandon Kruse of the Walleye netted the only goal with 2:15 left in the first period.

Kansas City now leads the best-of-seven series 2-0, with the teams facing each other for Game 3 in Toledo tonight May 20 at 7:15 pm.
