WHEELING, W. Va. – On Saturday evening, the Kansas City Mavericks took on the Wheeling Nailers in a hard-fought, physical matchup. The Nailers saw two players, Matthew Quercia and Peter Laviolette III, both ejected after receiving major penalties for fighting. Kyle Jackson netted the only goal for Wheeling, while the Mavericks had several players contribute offensively, including David Cotton and Landon McCallum. In the end, Kansas City dominated with a 7-1 victory.
