ROANOKE, Va– Fresh off their comeback win from the night before against Birmingham, the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs faced the Knoxville Ice Bears Saturday night.
It was a chippy, tense game between the two rivals, with the only goal in the first two periods being from Knoxville’s Davis Kirkendall. The third period was all Dawgs, as they tallied up 4 goals for a final score of 4-2.
Goals for Roanoke came from Owen McDade, followed less than a minute later by Matt O’Dea. Dominiks Marcinkevics and Xavier Filion notched the final two goals, making for the third win in all three meetings against Knoxville so far this season.
