ROANOKE, Va. – Thursday night, the Knoxville Ice Bears returned to the Berglund Center for the third time this month, to face the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs. With a score of 4-1, the Dawgs took their sixth straight win.
The Dawgs scored first, with a goal courtesy of Justin Cmunt. The lone Knoxville goal came in the second period from Brayden Stannard. The rest of the game was dominated by the Dawgs. The remaining three goals for Roanoke, gave Tommy Munichiello a hat trick. His empty net goal late in the third period brought the hats out onto the ice. Dawgs goalie Austyn Roudebush stopped 33 of 34 shots and Hunter Virostek stopped 29 of 32 shots.
