ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms and the Laval Rocket faced off on Saturday evening at the PPL Center with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms recording a 4-3 victory. Laval took the lead with the first of two first period goals at the 4:09 mark with a goal by Jared Davidson. Laval continued to dominate the Phantoms in the period and took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission with a goal at 18:19 by Laurent Dauphin.
The second period saw a more even game with the only goal scored by the Phantoms Elliot Desnoyers at the 11:10 mark. The Phantoms came storming back in the third period with three goals in the first 10 minutes of the period to take a 4-2 lead. Laval made it a one goal game at 17:55 with a goal by Alex Beaucage. From there the Phantoms held off Laval for a hard fought 4-3 victory on Parker Gahagen’s 28 saves.
