SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse Crunch faced the Laval Rocket in the Upstate Medical University Arena last Friday.

The Crunch got ahead of the Rocket early, getting up 2-0–thanks to Felix Robert and Gabriel Fortier. However, William Trudeau of the Rocket managed to get one past Crunch goaltender Hugo Alnefelt in the last six minutes of the first period.

Early in the second period, Sean Day hit another goal into the Rocket’s goal, bringing the Crunch 3-1. However, Philippe Maillet returned the call with a goal for the Rocket with a 3-2 score to end the second frame.

In the final minutes of the third period, the Laval Rocket pulled their goaltender leaving the net wide open for Syracuse’s Cole Koepke to score an empty netter, ending the game at 4-2 for Syracuse.
