WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester Railers hosted the Maine Mariners on Friday night at the DCU Center. This was the first of two games played by the two North Division rivals this past weekend. Griffin Luce of the Railers scored the game-winning goal at 3:07 into the overtime period, giving the Railers the 2-1 victory.
After a scoreless first period, the Mariner’s Christian Sarlo would get the first goal at the 18:21 mark of the second period. Worcester would tie the game on a goal from Griffin Loughran at the 8:49 mark of the third period, sending the game to overtime tied at 1-1. John Muse would pick up the win for the Railers with 25 saves on 26 shots against Brad Arvanitis with 29 saves on 31 shots in net for Maine.
