WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester Railers hosted the Maine Mariners at the DCU Center on Saturday evening, the first of a two-game weekend series between the two North Division rivals.
The Railers would pick up a 5-1 inspired win over the Mariners under the newly named Head Coach and General Manager Nick Tuzzolino.

The Railers would open the scoring, with Brenden Rons netting his first professional goal at 1:15 into the first period. Maine would tie the game 1:31 seconds later on a goal from Xander Lamppa. The Railers would add two goals in the second period, with Captain Anthony Repaci and Anthony Callin lighting the lamp.

In the third period, Matthew Kopperud would score at the 6:21 mark, and Cole Donhauser would finish the scoring with an empty net goal with 76 seconds remaining in the game. John Muse in net for the Railers would pick-up his fourth win of the season, with 30 saves in the game. Ryan Bischel in net for the Mariners would stop 20 of the 24 shots he faced.
