
ROCKFORD, Ill. – Friday night at the BMO Center, the Rockford IceHogs faced off against the Manitoba Moose for the first game of a weekend series.
During the first period, Jackson Cates would score the first goal of the game for his 5th goal in his last three games to give the IceHogs a 1-0 lead. The Moose would answer back with a goal from Dylan Coughlin to tie the game at 1-1.
The Moose would take the lead 2-1 on a goal from Danny Zhilkin in the second period, which would be the game winning goal. Manitoba’s netminder Chris Driedger stopped 18 of 19 shots on goal for the victory.
