GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A new scoreboard looking over the ice, new threads ready to see some action, and a new season of AHL Hockey starting in Van Andel Arena. Last year’s top two teams in the Central Division squared off in Grand Rapids, Michigan to start their seasons on Friday night. Both the Milwaukee Admirals and Grand Rapids Griffins came into the game looking to get a hot start, however, it seemed that Grand Rapids would be the ones to walk away with a victory. After 60 minutes of playtime, the Griffins took a 3-0 victory and post a shutout in the first game of the season.
