CEDAR PARK, Texas – Saturday night, the visiting Milwaukee Admirals defeated the Texas Stars 4-3 thanks to three unanswered goals in the third period.

In the first period, Matej Blumel added to his team-leading goals total with a wrist shot from the right-wing circle that beat Yaroslav Askarov high blocker side, giving the Stars an early 1-0 lead. Adam Wilsby tied the game 1-1 with a one-timer from distance on a 4-on-4 play. The two teams would enter the first intermission tied 1-1 after a penalty-filled first period.

In the second period, Texas regained the lead when Alex Petrovic beat Askarov with a quick wrist shot from the left-wing circle, making it 2-1. Texas would add to their lead with just 26 seconds left in the period when Nick Caamano made a nice toe-drag move around a Milwaukee defender and fed a pass to Kyle McDonald who deflected the puck past Askarov, giving the Stars a 3-1 lead into the second intermission.

After a great start to the game for Texas, the third period would be all Milwaukee as the Admirals outshot the Stars 15-7 in the period resulting in three unanswered goals from Juuso Parssinen, Jasper Weatherby, and former Star Tye Felhaber.

Yaroslav Askarov saved 18 of 21 shots for the win.
Remi Poirier saved 33 of 37 shots for the loss.
