CEDAR PARK, Texas. – Sunday night, the visiting Milwaukee Admirals defeated the Texas Stars 6-4 to even the Central Division Finals series 1-1. The series now shifts to Milwaukee for game 3 on Wednesday night.

Jesse Ylonen opened the scoring for the Admirals late in the first period with a massive one-timer from the top of the left circle that beat Stars goaltender Magnus Hellberg’s high glove side. Milwaukee controlled much of the first period, outshooting the Stars 11-3 and taking a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

Kole Lind tied the game 5:33 into the second period when he batted in a rebound off a Justin Hryckowian shot while on the power play. Just under two minutes later, Hryckowian gave the Stars a 2-1 lead when he snapped a loose puck in the low slot past Matt MurrayJoakim Kemell tied the game 2-2 with a one-timer from the top of the crease. After an evenly matched second period, the two teams entered the second intermission tied 2-2.

Milwaukee would score 4 goals on 6 shots in the third period. The first goal came at 3:33 in the period, when Chase De Leo had the puck redirected off his skate while crashing the net. Ylonen scored his second goal of the night, with a shot off a pass from Ozzy Wiesblatt in the low slot. Jake Lucchini made it 5-2 with a wide-open wrist shot from the top of the crease. Wiesblatt put the Admirals up by 4 when he stole a pass at center ice and, while on a breakaway, buried the puck high glove side on Hellberg. Lind would bring the Stars to within 2 goals with two quick goals in the final six minutes of the game, but the deficit would ultimately be too much to overcome as Milwaukee held on to win 6-4.
