LOWELL, Mass. – The Boston Fleet hosted their home opener at the Tsongas Center on Wednesday night. This Walter Cup rematch against the Minnesota Frost started out physical with tension brewing after every whistle. The Frost managed a 2-1 win over the Fleet in a tight game.

Boston and goaltender Aerin Frankel fought off three power plays and limited Minnesota to 9 shots on goal in the first period. Minnesota, however, did get the scoring started in the second period with a goal from Michela Cava. Fleet captain Hilary Knight was able to tie it up early in the third, though it would be the team’s only goal of the night. Five minutes later, Frost’s Dominique Petrie scores her second of the season and what would prove to be the game-winning goal.
