Renata Fast Goal Celebration

TORONTO, ON. – The Minnesota Frost and Toronto Sceptres met in yet another overtime clash at Coca-Cola Coliseum on Sunday. The last time these teams met, Toronto secured the overtime victory, however, on March 9th, the Frost flipped the script, coming away with a 2-1 win in the extra frame.

The Frost got things started in this one with a goal by Brooke McQuigge scoring five minutes in to the game.

It would stay 1-0 until late in the second when the Sceptres evened the score with a Renata Fast snipe from the point. With lots of traffic in front, she noted that she “was just trying to get a puck on net and create some chaos,” and it made it all the way through.

The score would stay 1-1 through the third period and head to overtime where Captain Kendall Coyne Schofield jammed a loose puck by Kristen Campbell.

Minnesota was happy to be on the other side of the celebrations this time, whereas, Toronto Sceptres Head Coach Troy Ryan said they were lucky to come out with a point after that performance. Ryan was obviously not happy with the game the Sceptres played in that one, but with a 10-game break they’ll be looking to get back on track soon.

As it stands now, Toronto sits in second place, one point ahead of both the Boston Fleet and Minnesota Frost.
