COLUMBUS, Ohio- Thursday night, the visiting New York Islanders beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-2 at Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus. Pierre Engvall, Bo Horvat, Noah Dobson, and Kyle Palmieri  scored for New York. Columbus scored all goals in the first period via Dmitri Voronkov and Kirill Marchenko. Blue Jackets goaltender,  Daniil Tarasov, left the game with 2:07 remaining in the first period with an injury.
