PORTLAND, Maine – In the first of a three-game series, the Norfolk Admirals won what proved to be a hard-fought game against the Maine Mariners on Friday night. The Mariners would start hot with the game’s first two goals, coming just nine seconds apart from each other. But Norfolk would come back strong with two goals in the second period. Norfolk would score first in the third, and the Mariners would follow suit but still fall short. The final score would be 5-4 to Norfolk.
