TROIS-RIVIÈRES, QC – The Trois-Rivières Lions struggled offensively in their 4-0 loss to the Norfolk Admirals on Saturday night at Colisée Vidéotron. The game, part of the Canadiens Affiliation Night, saw the Lions face a tough Admirals squad that controlled the pace from the opening puck drop.
Norfolk opened the scoring in the first period and never looked back, capitalizing on turnovers and strong transition play. Despite power play opportunities, the Lions failed to break through Norfolk’s tight defense and strong goaltending performance. The Admirals extended their lead with two goals in the second period and sealed the game with an empty-netter late in the third.
The special night still provided a memorable experience for fans, with Canadiens alumni like David Desharnais, Francis Bouillon, and Gilbert Delorme in attendance. But on the ice, it was a frustrating night for the Lions, who will look to bounce back in their next matchup.
