CALGARY, AB. – Sunday afternoon was the second of the weekend back-to-back at the Scotiabank Saddledome between the Calgary Wranglers and Ontario Reign. The first goal of the game came at the 3:46 mark from Martin Chromiak, unassisted for the Reign. The score remained 1-0 for the balance of the first period.
Rory Kerins put the Wranglers on the scoreboard with a goal in the second period. The Reign regained the lead when Shawn Element scored shortly after the Kerins’ goal to close the period.
Samuel Honzek tied the game early in the third period, but to no avail, as Martin Chromiak added his second of the game at 13:57 to close out the scoresheet, as the Ontario Reign defeated the Wranglers by a score of 3-2.
The Wranglers head to Abbotsford BC next weekend for a pair of games against the Canucks. Calgary sits 5th in the Pacific Division and needs a couple more wins to guarantee a playoff spot, over their last 4 games remaining in the Regular Season.
