ESTERO, Fla. – Fresh off round-one victories, the Florida Everblades kicked off their second-round series against the Orlando Solar Bears. Cam Johnson saw his eighth consecutive start in net for the Everblades, and Evan Fitzpatrick, a former Everblade, started his seventh. The Everblades struggled against the Icemen to score the first goal, but it took only 16 seconds for Cole Moberg (3) to get Florida on the board. Will Reilly (2), Cam Darcy (2), Mark Senden (2), and Sean Josling (4) scored for the Everblades. Luke Boka (3) was the lone goal scorer for the Solar Bears. The Everblades took the 5-1 win and a 1-0 lead in the series.
