
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – In an exciting Game 2 of their first-round series in the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs, the South Carolina Stingrays triumphed over the Orlando Solar Bears with a 4-3 overtime win, in front of a crowd of 5,744 fans and securing a 2-0 lead in the series. Josh Wilkins got a hat trick, while Alexander Suzdalev netted the overtime goal. Goaltender Mitchell Gibson made 15 saves out of 18 shots to help clinch the victory for the Stingrays.
Justin Nachbaur (2), Dean Loukus, Blake Thompson, Connor Moore, Kyler Kupka, Micah Miller, and Erik Middendorf all had assists.
The best of seven series will move to Orlando next week. Game three is April 21, and game four is April 23.
