SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse Crunch and Rochester Americans reunited for the first time on Sunday since the Calder Cup Playoffs. The preseason showdown was nothing short of a great game, with the Rochester Americans starting off strong in the first period and scoring four goals. Two of those goals were scored just 30 seconds apart, inciting a mix of reactions from Rochester and Syracuse fans in the crowd.

The Amerks held their 4-0 lead throughout the second period, and scored 2 more at the start of the third. Syracuse refused to get shutout, scoring a goal of their own on the power play. The final goal of the game went to the Amerks – bringing the final score to 7-1.
