WHEELING, W. Va. – On Sunday afternoon, the Reading Royals faced off against the Wheeling Nailers at WesBanco Arena. The Royals struck first in the opening period, converting on two of their 11 shots on goal, with Connor Walters and Matt Brown finding the back of the net. In the second period, a goal by David Drake of the Nailers was waved off, but the team responded with Matthew Quercia scoring the only goal of the period. Both teams scored in the third period, with Austin Master and David Jankowski each adding a goal. The Royals ultimately secured the win, finishing with a 3-2 victory.
