KNOXVILLE, Tenn – The Knoxville Ice Bears hosted the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs on Sunday night. The Knoxville Ice Bears were looking to break their eight game losing streak, however, the major story of this game was the 211 penalty minutes assessed to the two teams. The Knoxville Ice Bears fell to the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs 5-1, to continue their losing streak.

The Rail Yard Dawgs started the scoring 7:34 into the first period. Knoxville was able to tie the game 9:57 into the second period, but Roanoke then answered with four more goals. The third period had multiple stoppages with multiple game misconducts given.

The two teams will meet again on February 10th in Roanoke.
