KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Knoxville Ice Bears aimed to bring an NHL-like atmosphere to their fans on Friday night during Nashville Predators Night, as they faced off against the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs.

The game got off to a rocky start for Knoxville, with Roanoke netting three goals in just 1:26 during the first period. The Ice Bears managed to find some momentum late in the second period when Derek Osik scored a power-play goal. However, Roanoke extended their lead with two more goals, leaving Knoxville unable to generate additional offense. The game concluded with a decisive 5-1 victory for Roanoke.
