HARTFORD, Conn- The Hartford Wolf Pack and Rochester Americans faced off at the XL Center on Friday night. The Wolf Pack were looking to build their lead in 2nd place of the Eastern Division while the Americans were hoping to move from 4th place to 3rd place in the Northern Division.
Hartford won the first period with a single goal with a minute remaining in the period, and then Hartford and Rochester each scored a goal in the second period. Rochester’s Jiri Kulich tied the game with less than five minutes left in the third period and sent the game to overtime. A penalty by each team in overtime kept everyone on their toes for an exciting ending to a very competitive game! Jiri Kulich scored the game winning goal, to give Rochester the 3-2 victory.
