LAVAL, QC. – In front of a roaring home crowd at Place Bell, the Laval Rocket took a decisive step toward the Eastern Conference Final with a commanding 4–1 victory over the Rochester Americans in Game 3 of the North Division Finals.
The tone was set almost immediately. Just 15 seconds into the first period, forward Luke Tuch deflected a shot from defenseman David Reinbacher past Rochester goaltender Devon Levi, electrifying the sold-out crowd of 10,243. That early goal sparked a dominant opening frame, where Laval poured in three unanswered goals within a five-minute span. Goaltender Cayden Primeau was once again a pillar of strength. He stopped 32 of 33 shots and made several key saves during a second-period push by Rochester. Primeau’s stellar form continues a remarkable season in which he posted a 21-2-2 record.
With the series now tilting in their favor, the Rocket will look to close things out in Game 4. If they win, it will mark a major step in the franchise’s playoff campaign and could lead them to their first Eastern Conference Final appearance since 2021.
Game 4 is scheduled for Friday May 23rd, again at Place Bell, where the Rocket will aim to ride their momentum and hometown support to a series-clinching win, or will lead to game 5 on Sunday.
