DULUTH, Ga.- In the first of two back-to-back games between the in-state rivals, the Atlanta Gladiators faced off against the Savannah Ghost Pirates on Friday night at Gas South Arena. This game coincided with Marvel Night, where the Gladiators took on the role of Wolverine and the Ghost Pirates embodied Deadpool. Throughout a thrilling and fast-paced 60 minutes, fans were kept on the edge of their seats, never knowing how the game would end. Eric Neiley put the nail in the coffin for Atlanta, however, when he scored an empty net goal at 19:22 into the third period to definitively end Savannah’s chances of a comeback. The Gladiators ended the night defeating the Ghost Pirates by a score of 6-3.
