ESTERO, Fla. – The Florida Everblades were in a festive mood Saturday night at Hertz Arena when they closed out their three-game home series against the Savannah Ghost Pirates.
Wearing purple Hispanic Heritage Night-themed jerseys, the Everblades became the Los Tortugas for the night. Although their look was different, the results were the same, another win for the Everblades. Cam Johnson, the Everblades’ goalie, took the First Star and a shutout win with his perfect 25-save performance. Forward Joe Pendenza had the game-winning goal in the first period, his first of two for the night.
The teams take a break for the All-Star Classic and resume their extended series on January 20th in Savannah.
