JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Friday night’s game between the Jacksonville Icemen and the Savannah Ghost Pirates featured the Mascot Games. The Icemen’s mascot Fang had some of his mascot friends join him, along with the Ghost Pirates mascot Davy, for some fun shenanigans and games throughout the night. Jacksonville took a 3-1 victory, thanks to goals from Icemen captain Christopher Brown and Garrett Van Wyhe during the first period, and an empty net goal by Olivier Nadeau, with 17 seconds left in the game. The lone goal from Savannah came from Josh Davis at 3:29 of the first period. Nadeau is one goal away from tying the Icemen’s record for most goals in a season, which stands at 29, with one game left in the regular season.
