DULUTH, Ga.- Wednesday night saw the South Carolina Stingrays making the trek down south to Gas South Arena to take on the Atlanta Gladiators for a mid week showdown. The Stingrays, coming in hot on a six-game winning streak, were determined to foil the Gladiators hopes of a win on home ice.

Although the Stingrays started the scoring with a goal from Justin Nachbaur, the Gladiators ended the first period on top with a score of 2-1, thanks to goals from Patriks Marcinkevics and Randy Hernandez, but ended the second tied with the Stingrays at 2-2 after Austin Magera added his own tally. The third period saw both teams score another goal, Blake Murray for Atlanta and Alexander Suzdalev for South Carolina, to keep things tied up. However, the Gladiators would not give up and a goal from Cody Sylvester with 29 seconds left in regulation would end South Carolina’s hope of continuing their win streak.
