JACKSONVILLE, Fla – The Jacksonville Icemen Lizard Kings faced the South Carolina Stingrays Friday night. The Lizard Kings originally played in Jacksonville from 1995-2000, so during their annual throwback weekend, the Icemen changed their name to the Lizard Kings. The announcers, rosters, scoreboards and jerseys were all about the Lizard Kings. Fans chanted the Lizard Kings name and nineties music played during stoppages in play and in the intermission. Jacksonville took a 5-2 victory for their first win of the season against South Carolina, having gone 5-0-0 thus far.
