ORLANDO, Fla. – Tuesday evening, the Orlando Solar Bears were at home to take on the visiting South Carolina Stingrays. The Solar Bears beat the Stingrays 4-3 during their ALS Awareness night while honoring long time Solar Bears supporter John Collins who lost his battle with ALS two years ago. ECHL

Rookie of the Month for the month of January Spencer Kersten scored two of the four goals for Orlando, with the other two being scored by Captain Tyler Bird and Defensemen Mark Auk. Orlando travels to South Carolina this weekend to take on the Stingrays and try to continue their three-game win streak as the battle for the playoffs gets underway.
In the summer of 2014, the ice bucket challenge went viral of social media platforms, Tuesday night Orlando’s Mascot, Shades, took the Ice Bucket challenge during the game.
