ROCKFORD, Ill. – Saturday night at the BMO Center, the Rockford IceHogs faced off against the Springfield Thunderbirds. The IceHogs got off to an early lead on a goal by Joey Anderson, which was his 100th professional goal. The Thunderbirds would tie the game back up but the IceHogs would retake the lead. Joey Anderson would score his second goal of the night to give the IceHogs a 3-2 lead again but the Thunderbirds countered back to tie it back up at 3-3.
During the second intermission, former Chicago Blackhawks and IceHog player Bryan Bickell, would be added to the IceHogs Ring of Honor.
The IceHogs would retake the lead during the third period, to take a 4-3 win.
