
PROVIDENCE, RI. – Saturday at the Amica Mutual Pavilion, the Providence Bruins dominated the Syracuse Crunch with a decisive 5-0 victory. Goaltender Michael DiPietro was stellar between the pipes, stopping all 26 shots to earn the shutout. The Bruins’ offense was led by Max Jones, who opened the scoring with a power-play goal in the first period and added another in the third. Additional goals from Trevor Kuntar, John Farinacci, and Georgii Merkulov sealed the win for Providence.
This loss marked the end of the two-game season series between the teams, with Providence securing victories in both matchups.
