GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Playoff hockey returned once again to Van Andel Arena on Tuesday. The Texas Stars made the trip up for their first postseason matchup to take on the Grand Rapids Griffins as both teams were ready to take to the ice. However, it would seem that the Stars at night would be big and bright deep in the heart of Grand Rapids, as they would manage to shut out the Griffins in a 4-0 victory and take the first game of the series. Rémi Poirier stopped all 29 shots faced.
