PHOTOS: Texas Stars vs. Rockford IceHogs – 03/08/2025

ROCKFORD, Ill. – Saturday night at the BMO Center, the Rockford IceHogs faced off against the Texas Stars. Cole Guttman would open the scoring just 0.58 seconds into the first period for the IceHogs, and Emilio Pettersen would score the first of two goals on the night for the Stars to tie things up. The IceHogs would retake the lead on a goal by Paul Ludwinski to end the first period up 2-1.

The Stars would even the game back up at 2-2, on Pettersen’s second of the night. Zach Sanford would score late in the period to give the IceHogs a 3-2 lead at the end of the second period.
Joey Anderson scored in the third to give the IceHogs a 4-2 lead and the victory over the Stars. Drew Commesso would stop 36 of 38 shots on goal for his third in a row.
