CALGARY, AB – The Calgary Wranglers returned to the Scotiabank Saddledome after a seven-game road trip and a 5-2 record. The only team to beat the Wranglers on the trip was the Tucson Roadrunners and they played again this past weekend. The Wranglers were looking for revenge Friday and Saturday, as they played the Roadrunners in a back-to-back weekend set of games.

William Stromgren started the scoring in Friday’s game for the Wranglers with an early goal at the 0:17 second mark of the first period, followed by Jonathan Aspirot potting another Calgary goal at 16:33 to close out the period. There were no goals scored in the second period. The third period started quickly, with Eric Frk scoring at the 1:16 mark to make it 3-0. The Roadrunners initiated a comeback with two goals for Egor Sokolov & Curtis Douglas, and then Dryden Hunt put the game away for the Wranglers with an empty netter at 19:48 of the game to win 6-3.

The Teams met again on Saturday evening to close out the two-game series. The Wranglers beat the Roadrunners by a score of 6-2 to win both games in the weekend series. These teams are now even on the season, with 2-2 records against each other.
