
WHEELING, W. Va. – Saturday, the Wheeling Nailers held their Pups and Pucks nightand faced the visiting Tulsa Oilers. The first period would see the only two goals of the game, with both being scored by Wheeling. The first goal marked the first professional career goal for Eli Lieffers, as well as the first professional career point on the assist by Aidan Sutter. Nailers’ Phip Waugh threw down with Oilers’ Cade McNelly in a fight a short time later. Mats Lindgren scored the second goal to give Wheeling the 2-0 win. Wheeling netminder Sergei Murashov had his first shutout with the Nailers, after stoppimg all 42 shots on goal.
