PROVIDENCE, RI. – In a thrilling matchup on Friday at the Amica Mutual Pavilion, the Providence Bruins secured a 4-2 victory over the Utica Comets. Defenseman Ian Mitchell led the charge with a standout performance, contributing a game-winning power-play goal and two assists. Forward Vinni Lettieri opened the scoring late in the first period, while Patrick Brown added a goal and an assist. Goaltender Michael DiPietro was solid between the pipes, making 22 saves to backstop the Bruins to victory.

The Comets responded in the second period with two goals from Ryan Schmelzer, briefly taking the lead. However, the Bruins answered back with Brown’s power-play tally, setting the stage for Mitchell’s decisive third-period goal. Tyler Pitlick sealed the win with an empty-netter in the final minute. This victory improved Providence’s home record to 16-7-3 and showcased their resilience in overcoming a mid-game deficit.
