CINCINNATI, Ohio. – Friday night, the Cincinnati Cyclones failed to make a comeback, losing 3-2 to the visiting Wheeling Nailers. Matty De St. Phalle and Matthew Quercia made it 2-0 for the Nailers in 22 minutes of play. Ty Voit got one back for Cincinnati with seven minutes left in the second period.

Wheeling survived the continuous attack of the Cyclones in the third period, being outshot 10-3 (25-12 overall). Jack Beck scored the game winning goal for the Nailers 11:41 into the third. Cincinnati responded with a goal minutes later, but it wasn’t enough.
