Loke Johansson was born on December 14, 2005, in Stockholm, Sweden. Loke comes from a hockey family as his younger brother Arvid plays in Sweden, his cousin Christopher Bengtsson plays in Norway, his cousin Sebastian Bengtsson plays in France, and another cousin Viggo Wiklund plays in Sweden. Loke began his hockey career as a member of Flemingsbergs IK in Sweden and played 12 total games as a defenseman from 2019 to 2021.
For the 2021-22 season, Johansson joined AIK/HockeyAllvenskan and collected 11 assists in 43 total games for the J18 and J20 teams. The next season, the left-shot defenseman scored three goals with 11 assists in 47 total games. During the 2023-24 season, the physical blue-liner collected five goals and nine assists in 52 games.
The Boston Bruins select Loke Johansson in the Sixth Round of the 2024 NHL Draft
Johansson was chosen by Boston with the 186th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2024 NHL Draft. Johansson is a physical and aggressive defenseman who stands at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, and is known for his vicious hits on the ice. Johansson was projected to stay in Sweden for another year but was selected by the Moncton Wildcats in the Canadian Hockey League Draft in the first round, 37th overall, and will join the Wildcats for the 2024-25 season.
